Asalaam Alaikum,
I heard about the 'burqini' a few months ago, so it was a pleasure and a delight to read a cover story about it in the Tempo section of yesterday's Chicago Tribune. Laurie Goering's article was really inspiring and it just made me happy to see Muslim men and women inventing so many new ways to be Muslim, but to be also to be active outdoors. Kudos to the Muslim woman lifeguard who's able to wear the 'burqini' and be able to save lives.
Oh, and check out all the comments that have been left on the Tribune page. Good debate:

With a suit like that you're also much less likely to get any sand in your crack.
